February Board Agenda
Our HOA Board meets next on Monday, February 20 at 1 p.m.

EE Cupids
Monday, February 13th, is Sweetheart Day for our EE seniors.  Beginning at 9 a.m. in the Ramada, plates of donated goodies will be collected and assembled for delivery to 60 residents by Donna Shay and her team of cupids.  In addition, plates of treats will be delivered to Fire Station 151 on La Canada in appreciation for all they do for our residents.  Join the cupids at the Ramada if you would like to help out.

Still Taking Names
The EE HOA Board is still gathering the names of good neighbors who would be willing to fill the current board vacancy.  The appointee will serve for only two years.  Contact Tom Cooke at 399-0455 or if you are interested.

Ramada Sale is Coming Soon
This year, the Enhancement Team annual Ramada sale will be held on Saturday, March 4th. EE residents will have exclusive early-bird buying on Friday, March 3rd from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. We can always use more donated items, including baked goods.  Items to donate include: all household items, jewelry, accessories, furniture, lawn furniture, garage items, bicycles, computers (working or non-working), printers (must work.) We do not take televisions, clothing, mattresses or box springs. To donate items, call Marian Mundale 625-2238 or Kraylen Miholer 393-8133. To donate bake sale items contact Sandi Oster 625-0039.

EE Home Tour
One of EE's most popular events is back. On Sunday, March 26th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.  You will have a chance to tour some of EE's interesting homes and find ideas for decorating your own. Decorating styles range from traditional to modern, so there's something for everyone's taste.  A wine and cheese party at the Ramada will follow the tour.  Tickets are $15 each or two for $25 and may be purchased by calling Melodye Cooke (336-8844), Jane Ellingson (625-7782) or Louise McCabe (445-6237).  Tickets are limited, so buy yours before they run out.

Excursion to Tucson Botanical Gardens
The EE Artisans are planning an outing to the Tucson Botanical Gardens to view the Frida Kahlo exhibit on Thursday, March 9.  The group will car pool from the Ramada at 2:30, visit the exhibit and gardens, have a light dinner at the cafe in the garden, attend the lecture on "Frida: She Wore It Her Way," and then car pool back to EE at 7:30. The cost is $10.00 for the lecture (admission to the gardens is free after 3:00) plus the cost of your dinner.  If interested in going, you must RSVP by leaving a voice mail for Karen O'Brien at 303-807-8357 by March 1.  Seating is limited so please reserve early.

Aqua Exercise
Please note that the new time for this group is 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Book Discussion Group
Our EE Book Discussion Group will meet to discuss In the Sanctuary of Outcasts by Neil White on Tuesday, March 7 at 11:00 at the Ramada.  This memoir tells of the author's time in a federal prison where he served 18 months for bank fraud.  The prison was most unusual in that it also housed leprosy patients. The time spent there was a life-changing event for the author.  Join us for what promises to be an interesting discussion! Questions? Call Cindy Krantz at 203-8292.

This Valentine's Day will be a very special one for Claudia Sawyer (Circulo del Norte).  She is getting married. Best wishes for a happy life.

No Foolin'--Hazardous Waste Event on April 1
Green Valley Council has announced that the spring event is scheduled for Saturday morning, April 1.  Mark your calendar if you can join the helpers from EE.  Gather your items if you have items to drop off.
