New Date and Place for Annual EEHOA Meeting
For many years, the annual HOA meeting was held on the third Monday in January. But this year the meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 20, at 1:00 p.m. at the Canoa Hills GVR Social Center, 3660 S Camino Del Sol. Note that this facility is not the one where the meeting was held last year.

First Day Potluck
Ring in the new year with your neighbors at the annual First Day Potluck on January 1 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ramada. Please bring a dish to share and your own table service.  Hot coffee and hot cider will be provided.  Bring any other beverage you want. Call Jane Ellingson at 625-7782 if you'd like to help with the set up at 11:00 a.m.   

Shoe Painting Workshop
The EE Artisans will hold a workshop at the Ramada on January 14 and 1:00 p.m. where participants will learn how to change their shoes from drab to fab. Paint supplies will be available at the workshop, but bring your own shoes. Joey Sourant will teach the technique.  Next time you see her, check out her shoes.

Mark Your 2016 Calendar
Pulling out that 2016 calendar?  (Yes, some of us still use a paper version.)  Ink in the EE Hospitality Sausage Fest scheduled for January 19th and the Italian Cuisine Celebration of the Lunar New Year on February 9th.  An acoustic guitar performance sponsored by the EE Enhancement Group will put you in a Valentine's Day mood on February 13th.  Wine and cheese should help set the tone. 

Planning Exterior Changes?
Board Member Kevin Welsh heads the Architectural Control Committee this year.  He'll be happy to check over that patio cover, window update, garage enclosure or change in wall height to assure that your plans are in compliance with HOA requirements.  Need some ideas?  He can show you pictures of approved structures.  Contact him at 231-838-6851 or welsh.kj@gmail.com. 

Hot Desert Appreciation
Appreciative of Hot Desert's above and beyond efforts for our HOA, EE residents donated $400 as a holiday bonus for our crew.  Thanks to all for the contributions.

Too Much Citrus?
The Green Valley Food Bank is happy to take donations of your extra citrus.  You can drop it off at their office 250 E. Continental weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. If you can't pick it yourself, the Food Bank will do it for you. Call 625-5252 to schedule the gleaners to come pick your trees. The gleaning service is available until mid-April, but you can call to schedule them earlier.
