Board Meeting Today
The EEHOA Board is scheduled to meet at the Ramada today at
1 p.m. All residents are encouraged to attend to know what's
happening in our HOA.
|
Dues and Don'ts
If you've had your EE HOA dues payment returned by the
United States Postal Service with an "undeliverable" sitcker,
it's a mystery. Feel free to bypass the postal service and
bring your payment envelope to the Board meeting or contact
our treasurer, Joan Moreaux.
|
Propane
The HOA is looking for a volunteer to monitor and replace,
as needed, the propane tanks used for warmth during our
winter gatherings. Contact Tom Cooke at 399-0455 or
tecooke1@cox.net, if you could help out.

Thanks for the Party
Thanks to the Hospitality Committee for getting the holiday
season off to a great start with the potluck and sing along
last week. Special thanks to those who led the caroling and
shared their personal Christmas stories.
|
Coffee & Donuts
Warm up with some hot coffee and a friendly chat with
neighbors at the monthly complimentary coffee & donuts at
8:30 a.m. at the Ramada on
Wednesday December 21. Heaters will be in use if
the weather is cold. Thanks to the Cookes
and Surprises for sponsoring this event.
|
New EE Christmas Tradition
Donna Shay is organizing Sweet Treats, a
new neighborhood project to deliver plates of treats to EE
elders who are shut in or alone for the holidays.
Assembling of donated treat plates and delivering them to
our very special neighbors will take place at the Ramada on
Wednesday, December 21 after Coffee &
Donuts (approximately 9:15 AM). Please call Donna at
815-243-3402 to volunteer to donate treats, assemble plates,
or deliver them and visit with the recipients.

Hot Desert Christmas Collection
The year-round landscaping elves known as the Hot Desert
Crew certainly deserve extra thanks. To avoid waking EE
summer residents, these guys work without power tools before
7 am and are rewarded by 100 plus temperatures in the
afternoons. A Hot Desert Gift container will be prominently
displayed at the Board meeting, and Wednesday's Coffee and
Donuts. Contact Dean Hess at 780-8995 if
you'd like to donate at another time. If you'd like to add a
personal note of appreciation, email Dean at
hess325@msn.com and he'll present the neighborhood
good wishes along with the cash.

Luminarias
Continuing this lovely tradition, residents on parts of
Circulo Napa will light luminarias along the street at dusk
on Friday, December 23. The holidays can
be hectic, but the stroll down Napa in the quiet of the
early evening is a tranquil experience. Thanks to all the
Napa residents who create this peaceful scene.
|
First Day Party
Don't get partied out before January 1! Another EE holiday
tradition is to celebrate the new year with a luncheon
potluck at 1:00 p.m. on the first day of the new year.
Please bring your own table service, beverage and a dish to
share. Thanks to Jane Ellingson and Mona Sheffield
for organizing the gathering. If you'd like to help them set
up, call Jane at 625-7782.
|
Auction
The Enhancement Team will be holding a live auction
at the Ramada on Friday, January 20. Proceeds
will benefit our neighborhood. In
addition to interesting or high/end items the
auction will also include services. For example, if
you are a great cook, you could donate a homemade
dinner. Contact Linda Sielken at
908-240-1887 to donate.
|
Lost
Val Palacios lost a silver and turquoise earring on
her way to the Ramada last week. If you spot it
between 110 Circulo Napa and the Ramada, please give
Val a call.
