EE Board Elections 2018
Learn what makes your homeowner's association tick. Participate in local government. Get acquainted with your neighbors. Run for EE Board. Part-time residents are encouraged to run. Monthly meetings are scheduled for the third Monday of every month except July and August, but it is acceptable to be out of town for a couple of them.  Contact Kris Bean at eekris2017@outlook.com or Joe McCalpin at 520-867-8067 to throw your hat into the ring for the board election.

Now Showing
Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ramada. This week's movie is Oceans Eleven. Plot: Recently paroled from a New Jersey penitentiary, Dapper Danny Ocean (played by George Clooney) a wry, charismatic thief, orchestrates the most sophisticated, elaborate casino heist in history.
Thanks to Jane & Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this event.

It's Back by Popular Demand
Free Coffee & Donuts has resumed! Join your friends and neighbors in the Ramada for coffee and a pastry on Wednesday, November 15, at 8:30 a.m. Wonder what everyone was up to all summer? Now that many winter residents are back, what better way to catch up than over a nice cup of coffee? Normally, this event is held the Wednesday after the monthly board meeting.  But, it's earlier this month because of Thanksgiving. Thanks to Tom Cooke and Craig Surprise for sponsoring this popular event.

EE Gardeners Meeting
The EE Gardeners will meet on November 15 at the Ramada following the morning Coffee & Donuts (around 9:00 a.m.) This will be their first meeting of the year, and the focus will be to share and discuss ideas and activities for the coming year. If you can't attend, please send your ideas to Jim Copeland at jlbrcopeland@aol.com.

New Trees
We have some funds to replace trees in common areas that were lost during last summer's storms. If you have a request for type and location of a tree, please forward it to Jim Copeland at  jlbrcopeland@aol.com. The EE Gardeners are interested in desert survivors which can go without watering after they are established. If you would like to see examples, Jim suggests you look at the recent plantings at Shade Tree Park, next to the pickleball courts or Esperanza Park (a/k/a Flag Park) on Camino Holgado. Those trees are 2-3 years old. Go soon while the leaves are still on.

Hospitality Event
Mark your calendars for the next great hospitality shindig. Robin and Dean Lockwood join Nancy Ferguson as chairs of the Hospitality Committee, and the committee is organizing some exciting events.  The November event will be held at the Ramada on Saturday, November 18, starting with a social hour at 5:00 p.m. followed by the meal at 5:30.  The menu is yet to be determined, but it will be tasty and you won't want to miss it.

Crafts Fair
The EE Artisans will hold their third annual crafts fair on Saturday, December 2, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Ramada.  This is an EE exclusive event open only to EE residents as both sellers and buyers.  It's a wonderful opportunity to buy items your talented neighbors create.  If you are interested in selling your items, please contact Marla Ries at gvmarlaries@gmail.com.  You may only sell handcrafted items and will be limited to one table.  There is no charge to sell your crafts.

Morning Water Aerobics
Because of cool morning temperatures, the morning water aerobics group will be on hiatus until spring when the morning temperatures are warmer.

Food Bank
Please remember that we have a bin at the Ramada for contributions to the Green Valley Food Bank and your donations are always appreciated.  Thanks to Jane Ellingson for offering to deliver the donations to the food bank.
