Taco Bar
A new Hospitality Committee event, the Taco Bar, will debut on Thursday, November 3rd. Starting a new tradition, socializing will begin at 5:00 (not the usual 4:30) followed by dinner at 5:30.  The cost will be $8.00 per person and will include drinks, taco bar, black bean salad and dessert.

Board Budget Meeting Tuesday
The Budget meeting scheduled for 10 am on Tuesday at the Ramada has morphed into an official EE Board Meeting. Homeowners are encouraged to attend.

Castaway the Movie of the Week
This Wednesday's EE movie will be the 2000 survival tale starring Tom Hanks.  Be there in time to settle into your favorite  spot for the 7pm start time.

EE Black Friday Sale
The annual EE day-after-Thanksgiving craft sale will take place on November 25 from 1:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.  All residents in EE are welcome to participate. This year we will charge $5 per vendor to cover the refreshments. If you would like to sell your crafts, contact Barbara Copeland by email (jlbrcopeland @aol.com), phone (952-250-6716) or text.

Attention Fiber Arts Group Members
At the Thursday, October 27, meeting at the Ramada at 1:00 p.m., the group will plan their winter activities such as outings to galleries, gardens, etc. (always including lunch of course). Bring your ideas to the meeting.

Bored?  Run for the Board
If you are looking for a way to fill your days and make a meaningful contribution to our community, consider becoming a candidate for our HOA Board.  The old adage: "if you want to get something done, ask a busy person" applies too, so you don't need to be bored to seek a position. Anyone interested in running for the Board should contact Ben Sheffield at 625-3797.

Decorating Got You Stumped?
EE resident and interior designer Linda Hoy will answer readers' decorating questions in a new monthly column in the Periodico. Submit your questions to cjsurprise@verizon.net. You can remain anonymous.

Tracking Your Ballot
Wondering where your ballot is?   If you've already mailed your ballot back to the Pima County Recorder, you can check it's progress online at the Early Ballot Status page.  You'll see when it was received, had the signature verified, and was counted.  It's recommended that you mail it by Tuesday, November 1. You can request an early ballot through October 28th at the Early Ballot Request page. Ballots will be mailed out within 48 hours of the request, but waiting until the last day may be cutting the mail time a little close.

Ramada Use Requests
EE residents may schedule and use the Ramada to host family/friend gatherings, activities and meetings. All that's needed is a check of the Ramada calendar that hangs on the kitchen bulletin board. If the date and time are open, write in your event. When your event is over please, sweep up, wipe off, and return chairs, tables and cushions to their rightful places.

In Memoriam
Our condolences to the family & friends of Doug Webber (Circulo Napa) who passed away on October 20.
