Book Lovers Meet Tuesday
Join the book discussion group Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Ramada to discuss Life in a Jar.  New members are always welcome.  It's a good way to meet old friends and new.  Next month's book is Orphan *8 by Kim van Alkemade.

Wednesday Night Movie
This week's movie is My Best Friend's Wedding starring Julia Roberts. When a woman's long-time friend reveals he's engaged, she realizes she loves him herself and sets out to get him, with only days remaining before the wedding. Showtime is 7:00 p.m. at the Ramada. Out After Dark? Experience the Night

Monsoon Season
The 2017 monsoon season ended on Friday, and according to the numbers reported by Accuweather it wasn't that great. Total rainfall from June 15 to September 30 was only 4.00". This was my first summer in Green Valley, and I have to say that my friends were right -- it wasn't as bad as I expected.
