Monday Morning Memo

October 19, 2015        Esperanza Estates        Green Valley, AZ

Board Meeting Today
HOA Board meets today at the Ramada at 1:00 p.m.  All are welcome to attend.  The board will appoint a new director to fill the current vacancy on the board.  A copy of the agenda is included at the end of the memo.

Attention Creative Types
Now is the time to get started making crafts to sell to your EE neighbors at the arts/crafts sale the EE Artisans will hold at the end of November (tentatively November 27). If you would like to be a vendor, you will be able to rent a table for a nominal fee and sell your work. There will be more details about this event later.

A Weeders Work Is Never Done
Thanks once again to our volunteer weeders, Tom Cooke and Boyd Morse, for their efforts to keep our common areas weed free.  You can always tell when they've been on the job by the telltale green dye.  Thanks also to all our residents who kept their front areas in good shape throughout the summer.

EE Artisans
The EE Artisans will hold their first meeting of the season onThursday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ramada. Mark your calendars now for their first excursion to Tohono Chul in Tucson to view the gallery exhibition featuring "El Dia de Los Muertos" (Day of the Dead) celebration on November 5(tentative). Lunch at the park will follow. New members are always welcome.

Ramada Reservation
Reminder that if you or your group want to use the Ramada for a function or meeting, you should sign up on the calendar located on the bulletin board in the Ramada kitchen area. Our Ramada is proving to be a popular venue for many groups to meet, so don't assume it will be available unless you check to see if it's already been reserved.  Please provide the name of the group meeting there, the time you expect to occupy the space (including any prep and cleanup time), your name and a phone number where you can be reached if necessary.

Still Time to Carve That Artist's Envy Pumpkin
Dust off those autumn recipes and sharpen that pumpkin carving knife, the Halloween Party is almost upon us.  Bring your potluck contribution and decorative pumpkin to the Ramada on Saturday, October 31 at 4:30 pm.  Welcome back winter residents in disguise or come as yourself. All characters welcome.

Profusion of Pomegranates
Tom and Melodye Cooke have generously left their surplus crop of pomegranates at the Ramada. Feel free to drop by to retrieve a few of the lovely red, antioxidant rich fruits as you pass by.  Not sure what to do with them?  They make lovely fall table decorations, too.
