The EEHOA Board will meet today, October 15, at 1:00 PM at the Ramada. The familiar agenda is at the end of this memo.

Coffee & Donuts
Whether you spell them donuts or doughnuts, the ever-popular, free coffee & donuts resumes this week at the Ramada on Wednesday at 8:30 AM.  According to Tom Cooke, this is the longest running social event in EE. It's a relaxing get together at a mellow time of day and as Tom likes to say "There's no axe to grind." Thanks to the Cookes and the Surprises for sponsoring this event.

Wednesday Night Movie
This week's movie at 7:00 PM at the Ramada is The Aviator starring Leonardo DeCaprio. The film depicts the early years of legendary director and aviator Howard Hughes' career from the late 1920's to the mid 1940's.  Thanks to Jane and Eric Ellingson for sponsoring this event.

Dust in the Wind Appears in EE
No, the classic rock band KANSAS did not appear in concert at the Ramada.  A whirlwind of mine tailings, however, made its appearance in our neighborhood on Sunday, October 9.  The Green Valley Council has corresponded with the mine owner, Freeport McMoRan Sierrita, Inc., regarding the incident. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call FM's hotline (520)393-4426.  You can access the risk evaluation of wind-blown tailings in a report at the GVC Office, 555 N. La Canada Drive, Green Valley, or on the GVC website at  GVCouncil.org.

Let's Make Music Together
The first gathering of Esperanza Jams, EE's new acoustical instrument musical group, will be on Thursday, November 8, at 3:00 PM  at Marla's house, 852 Calle del Regalo. You can read more details in the October issue of the Periodico which is available on the EE website.
