Hospitality Event
The next hospitality committee social event is a baked potato bar on Saturday, January 13th at the Ramada! There will be potatoes and a variety of toppings, including pulled pork. The cost is $8.00 per person, and includes potato bar, dessert, wine, beer and soft drinks. Cocktail hour begins at 4:30, and the buffet begins at 5:00. There will be a collection bin for food donations to the Food Bank. Thanks to the hospitality volunteers who do so much to bring our community together.

Hospitality Committee Meeting
There will be a short meeting on Wednesday, January 10th at 11:00 AM at the Ramada to finalize plans for the baked potato bar event. It is also an opportunity to greet members who just arrived in Green Valley, and to hopefully welcome any newcomers who may be interested in joining the committee.

Gardeners' Auction and Raffle
At the January 13 hospitality dinner, Terry Shay and Jim Copeland will conduct an auction and raffle of mesquite items to support the EE Gardeners for 2018. An additional special auction item will be an original painting by artist Steve Day. Please come to support garden enhancements at EE.

EE Directories
The 2018 EE Name and Address Directory will be for sale for $4.00 at the annual meeting. Many phone numbers have changed over the past several years and there are a lot of new residents.  So, it's a good time to replace that old directory you've been using.

Annual Meeting Reminder
The 2018 EE HOA Annual Membership meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 15, 2018 at 2 pm at the Community Performance and Art Center (CPAC), 1250 W. Continental Road, Green Valley. Check-in (by lot #) starts at 1:30 pm.

New Year's Resolution:  Eat More Dessert
Maybe that wasn't your resolution this year, but it's okay to indulge just one afternoon to support EE at the Enhancement Dessert Buffet on Saturday, February 10 at 2 pm. Those feeling virtuous will have some healthy desserts to choose from. Those salivating as they read this will have a host of goodies to select from. Stick a little cash in your back pocket as you head for the annual meeting and buy a $5 ticket for yourself and your best friend.

Water Aerobics
Due to cooler weather and travel commitments, water aerobics will continue to be "on vacation" until the end of January or the beginning of February. If there is someone interested in starting it back up earlier, call Robin or Dean Lockwood at 612-618-5582 and they can get you a copy of the exercise lists.

Solar Pool Heating System
The solar collectors at the pool have been re-set to collect more heat from the sun during the winter months, in turn increasing the water temperature in the pool. We employ a combination of solar and natural-gas heat, set to maintain suitable swimming temperatures at an optimum cost to our HOA.  Our thanks to Craig Surprise, who manages our solar pool heating system.
